My name is Chave Pichardo and I'm a photo-based Queer Chicané artist. I am currently residing in Seattle, Washington. My work explores identity in relation to societal norms and expectations. As a Chicané creator, whose identity lives between two worlds, I embrace these differences through my work. In Felt Me (2019), a stop-animated short, I created a self-portrait using hair as a tool for storytelling. My work is playful, and often embraces accessible materials.
